About the Role
We arecurrentlyseeking students to join our Business Services and Audit teams at BDO (NTH QLD). We understand the importance ofbalancingwork and study, which is why our Undergraduate program is designedwith flexibility in mind, allowing you to work while completing your studies.
Business Services| Whatyou’llexperience
As an undergraduate in Business Services, you willcommenceyour career in our Accounting Outsourcing team,solidifying the fundamental skills for a successful career. You will:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of business reporting, including payroll, superannuation, GST, financial reporting, and ATO deadlines
Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software, including training and certification in systems such as MYOB and XERO.
Upon completion of your university degree, you will transition into a Graduate role where your career will then progress to developing taxation and business advisoryexpertise These skills will be developed throughon the jobtraining within our supportive Business Services team environment as well asaformal structuredtraining program
Audit | Whatyou’llexperience
As an Undergraduate in Audit, you will gethands on experiencein our Financial Reporting Team and be involved in real client work. You will gain skills and understanding in the following areas:
Business accounting including payroll, creditors processing and preparation of monthly management accounts
Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software, including training and certification in systems such as MYOB and XERO.
Upon completion of your university degree, you will transition into a Graduate role with the Audit team. As part of the audit team, you will spend time at the client’s premises, building an understanding of the client’s business,identifyingpotential risks, and analysing information to provide the client and their stakeholders a level of assurance on the financial statements. You will be supported in your career development with a formal structured training program and on the job mentoring.

Recently completed, or on track to complete, a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (e.g. Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics or similar)
Take a proactive, positive approach to your work and enjoy collaborating with others
Communicate confidently and build strong relationships with others
Bringa high levelof attention to detail and take pride in producing quality work
Tech savvy, quick to learn new systems and open to change
Organised, professional and motivated to start your career in a supportive environment
