Salary/Position Classification

• $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 4-10 hours hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

This position aims to support the development and validation of advanced optical imaging systems, contributing to cutting-edge research in imaging technologies. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary research environment, fostering technical and analytical skills crucial for future academic and professional pursuits.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Dr. Bo Liang’s research team, contributing to specific tasks aligned with the overall project objectives
• Assist in the design and construction of a microscope system, working with team members to ensure functionality and accuracy.
• Perform data analysis using appropriate software tools to accurately interpret imaging data.
• Conduct validation experiments to assess the optical imaging system’s performance, and document findings to support project development

Minimum Requirements

• Willing to learn new experimental methods
• Responsible for tasks
• Strong organization skills and ability to pay attention to details.
• Capable of communicating with other lab members
• Entry-level position for undergraduate student's background in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Biology
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
