Job Description

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking qualified Unarmed Security Guard/Entry Control Specialists to staff 12-hour day shifts 7 days a week at Indian Health Service facilities to support KABS and our government customer in Lawton, OK. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

These positions are critical to maintaining facility security and ensuring proper emergency response protocols are followed. This role requires individuals who can maintain vigilance, demonstrate sound judgment, and respond effectively to various security scenarios.
Guards have a 12-hour shift on a 14 day pay period, 7 day on 7 day off, every other weekend off. Those 7 days are spread out in a 2-week period. The guards schedule on weekdays is from 8a/8p. The weekend shift (Fri Sat Sun) is 7a/p and depart at 730a/p. Guards must be in uniform and recognizable as guards. Guards must wear KABS provided uniforms with company livery on it at all times when on government site.
The Unarmed Security Guards/Entry Control Specialist will serve as important members of the KABS team, providing 24/5 security guard and response capabilities. Core responsibilities include:
• Staff the IHS center for the facility on a 24/5 basis through 12 hour rotating shifts
• Monitor all life safety and security systems including alarms, access control, and CCTV cameras
• Provide notification of incidents to emergency first responders and authorized IHS staff
• Staff access control points and reception desks to manage facility entry
• Respond promptly to fire, security, and maintenance alarms
• Conduct interior patrols of the building and monitor exterior areas including parking facilities via CCTV
• Perform exterior patrols when CCTV coverage is inadequate or inoperable
• Control personnel access and manage visitor protocols including operation of fixed and/or portable barriers
• Dispatch security personnel as required to address security concerns
• Maintain detailed security logs and documentation of incidents
• Administer and maintain security databases
• Perform other administrative duties within the security office as assigned
Education and Experience:
Required:
• Must be physically capable of performing security duties which include doing walking rounds of the hospital campus.
• Completion of CLEET training required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and secure Public Trust security clearance
• Must be able to take direction and be on time for shift changes.
• Prior unarmed security experience staffing/operating access points
• Experience with electronic security systems and CCTV monitoring
• Experience with access control management and visitor processing
• Training in emergency response procedures
• High-School graduate
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to learn and demonstrate thorough understanding of IHS Security Standard Operating Procedures
• Capability to pass written/oral exams on security procedures within 15 business days of contract start
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance in monitoring multiple security systems simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with emergency responders and security staff
• Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions during emergency situations
• Capability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights and holidays
• Ability to maintain accurate security logs and documentation
• Proficiency in managing visitor control systems
• Knowledge of security alarm systems and response protocols
Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Prior military, law enforcement, or federal security experience
• Knowledge of federal security protocols and procedures
• Prior experience in a government security operations center
• Familiarity with integrated electronic intrusion detection systems
• Experience with access control in sensitive environments
