UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
UN Women Myanmar Country Office partners with the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to direct vital humanitarian aid towards crisis-affected women and girls. The joint projects focus on grassroots capacity building, emergency livelihood support, providing cash assistance to survivors of GBV and contribute to prevent protection risks. The UN Women Myanmar work with CERF includes the 3 key pillars: (1) frontline support to WLOs/WROs where a significant portion of the funding is directly allocated to these local actors; (2) GBV prevention and response, project activities are designed to deliver integrated services including referrals for vulnerable women and girls, and; (3) works on ensuring that the fund builds long term resilience for crisis affected women, girls, men, boys and all diverse protection vulnerable population groups.
Reporting to the Humanitarian Programme Specialist, the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of the CERF funded projects by providing substantive inputs to project design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women CERF funded projects by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary. The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team and will provide support to the Myanmar Country Office complying with the Fund requirements including on monitoring and reporting, coordinating project results to internal and external audiences.
Scope of Work:
1.Contribute technically to the design of humanitarian project strategies and in the area of relief and recovery
2. Provide substantive technical support to the implementation and management of humanitarian projects
3. Provide technical assistance and capacity development to project/programme partners
4. Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and reporting of the programme/ project
5. Provide substantive technical inputs to the management of people and finances of humanitarian projects
6. Provide substantive inputs to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies
7. Provide technical support to inter-agency coordination on humanitarian programme and projects to achieve coherence and alignment of UN Women programmes with other partners in the country
8. Provide substantive inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts
9. The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.
