ISS International S.p.A. is currently looking for an Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer to join an important Oil & Gas development project based in the Milan area, Italy.
The selected professional will support engineering activities related to offshore and subsea umbilicals and fiber optic cable systems, contributing to the design review, technical coordination, and execution support of complex Oil & Gas developments involving subsea infrastructure and offshore installation interfaces.
The role includes review of engineering deliverables, technical specifications, routing and interface coordination, support to procurement and vendor follow-up, and assistance during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
Main Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
At least 8 years of experience in Umbilical, Subsea Cable, or related Engineering activities after graduation
Proven experience in Oil & Gas projects involving umbilicals, fiber optic cables, subsea cables, or related offshore systems
Good knowledge of subsea / offshore cable and umbilical engineering principles, routing, protection, installation interfaces, and technical coordination
Experience in review of technical specifications, vendor documents, installation-related documentation, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces
Ability to coordinate with subsea, pipeline, telecom, installation, marine, and construction teams
Exposure to offshore / subsea installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities is a strong plus
Good command of English
