The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist operates ultrasound equipment, ensures image quality, and communicates results to radiologists and physicians.
Perform routine and complex ultrasound examinations including:
Abdomen
Liver
Renal
Gynecological imaging
Small parts scanning.
Ensure image quality and proper labeling prior to PACS transmission.
Maintain patient documentation and exam records.
Schedule and prioritize ultrasound examinations.
Coordinate with radiologists for nonstandard exams.
Communicate urgent findings to radiologists or physicians.
Maintain compliance with radiation and safety protocols.
Verify patient identity and explain procedures to patients.
Provide emergency or on-call ultrasound services when required.
Work independently while reporting issues to the Chief Technologist.
Registered with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
Must hold two or more sonography certifications (e.g., RVT, OB/GYN, MSK).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Minimum 3 years hospital ultrasound experience in the U.S.
Must have worked in a hospital setting within the last six months
Professional liability insurance required.
Ability to work at least six months after start date
