
Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in applied sciences preferred.
Licensure/Certification: To be eligible for on the job training, you must be registered as a Radiologic Technologist through ARRT or Registered Nurse with clinical experience and be registered or registry eligible within one year of training. Must be current in BLS. Must be registered in Vascular Technology through ARDMS or CCI. All other registries encouraged.

Mental/Physical Effort: Close attention to detail of procedures, technique, positioning and contrast media side effects is required at all times. Ability to work unsupervised and capability for quick decision making. Demands lifting and transporting of patients, and moving mobile ultrasound units. Requires ability to maneuver in close quarters and around equipment. Demands frequent or prolonged standing, sitting, stooping and bending. Requires normal (or corrected) vision and hearing for assessing film quality and telephone communication.
