PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, and pathology and equipment limitations.
- Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
- Follows protocols and or physician specific orders. Reviews prior images/reports/patient history as needed.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
- Performs routine and complex studies and assists physician in a variety of imaging procedures.
- Participate in various teaching and mentoring of ultrasound technologists.
- Able to perform on all age groups from infant to adult/geriatric.
- Organizes processed images, measurements, calculations, and other data in a logical sequence for presentation to the physician for interpretation.
- Consults with the physician as applicable regarding the quality of images and data obtained.
- Performs ultrasound and other procedures on patients as directed by Physicians & Advance Practitioners.
- Obtains and records all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure.
- Ensures all required written and computer documentation, forms and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintains ultrasound supplies and cleans equipment.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment.  Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
- Maintains department records, reports, and files.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a registered sonographer by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certified in (at least) OB/GYN.  Does not have to be registered in ARRT.
EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience, OB/GYN preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Certified in Physics and OB/GYN
