Type: New

Performing Ultrasound procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals such as but not limited to:
•Operating, troubleshooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
•Preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
•Maintaining high standards of practice and excellence in imaging quality and patient care
•Assisting in data processing
•Responsible for attending teaching, training, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities and other meetings as required
•Participates in research, the safety and education of patients, and staff and students observing
•Understands Hospital and departmental policies and procedures to provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures that will result in improvements in technical quality
•Adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
•Performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested
•Performing other duties related to the job classification, as required.

Qualifications
•Completion of a recognized degree/diploma Ultrasound program required
•Current registration with the CMRITO required
•Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification required
•One (1) year recent related experience required
•Contrast injection course preferred
•Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
•Effective time management skills; ability to organize work and set priorities
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as the ability to work as an autonomous professional
•Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all sites
•Must be computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
•Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
•Must be able to cover all shifts as required
•Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital
•This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all
