Schedule: 40 Hours Weekly - Monday - Friday 6AM - 4:30PM

A Day in the Life

• This position is under the general supervision of the Munson Healthcare Service Line Manager of Cardiac Diagnostics, and direct supervision of the Traverse Heart and Vascular Ultrasound Coordinator and Cardiac Diagnostic Suite Echo Coordinator, in addition to the Director of Cardiology, the Medical Director of Cardiac Diagnostic Suite, the Medical Director of Traverse Heart and Vascular Echocardiography Lab. Has a close working relationship with the cardiologists and medical staff.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of college or hospital based Cardiovascular Program or Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or completion of Allied Health Program approved by the AMA.

  Must be a Registered Cardiovascular Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) or a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

  Must be able to do 2D Echocardiograms, M-mode, PW & CW Spectral Doppler, Color Flow Doppler, and Transesophageal echocardiogram on adults, with some experience performing pediatric echocardiograms. In addition, must be able to perform treadmill stress echocardiograms and Dobutamine stress echocardiograms.

  Must have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience performing Treadmill Stress Echocardiograms and/or Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
