You will join the EY’s Salesforce team within Technology Consulting, working closely with communities of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver this change, sharing modern engineering enablement and smart automation to optimise delivery and speed to outcome. These teams have deep functional knowledge and experience across our client’s core business functions, combined with deep technical skills to lead and deliver business outcome led high quality client solutions. Our management consultants and our technology consultants are the same – client focused, functional advice combined with technology enablement, one team, one dialogue, driving change and outcomes.

The role as Senior Manager – Technical Architect is a fantastic opportunity to lead the translation of clients’ business challenges, leveraging strong technical and Salesforce platform expertise, into key technical requirements and solutions, to build digital solutions that drive value for their customers and employees.

This role is focused on helping clients unlock value through the convergence of customer experience, trusted data and AI-powered business transformation on the Salesforce platform. Working across Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein AI and broader ecosystem technologies, you will shape solution architectures, lead technical delivery and support clients in establishing the trusted data foundations required for AI adoption.

Your key responsibilities

Within the team, you'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary and high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive experience helping organisations solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution in one or more of the following areas:

Market / Client Centricity

• Support client discussions around Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein AI and emerging AI capabilities, translating business requirements into scalable solution architectures.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, analytics and customer data platforms to improve customer experience and operational performance.
• Collaborate with Salesforce, EY alliance teams and client stakeholders to shape Data Cloud and AI-enabled transformation opportunities.
• Support the technical shaping of proposals, estimates and solution approaches for Data Cloud, Agentforce and customer intelligence programmes.
• Identify opportunities to modernise legacy customer platforms through data migration, customer data harmonisation and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Provide architecture consultancy across all Salesforce implementation projects, from the integration of new solutions to client in-house built solutions.

Technical Architecture & Engagement Delivery

• Lead the solution architecture and technical delivery of Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce and AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
• Define customer data architectures, including data models, governance approaches, identity resolution strategies and integration patterns.
• Lead architecture and delivery activities for complex data migration, integration and customer data platform implementations.
• Design AI-enabled customer engagement solutions leveraging Agentforce, Einstein AI and Salesforce ecosystem capabilities.
• Ensure AI and analytics use cases are aligned to business outcomes, regulatory requirements and responsible AI principles.
• Work with engineering, integration and data teams to prototype, test and deploy Data Cloud and AI-enabled solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on customer data governance, data quality and trusted data foundations.
• Lead the design, and where appropriate development, of customised Salesforce solutions that align with our clients' business processes and goals.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities and features, and keep up-to-date with the latest Salesforce trends and best practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to EY and client Salesforce developers and technical resources.
• Participate in project planning and management, including estimating effort and timelines for Salesforce engagements.
• Ensure that Salesforce solutions are designed and implemented in accordance with industry-standard best practices, security policies, and data governance guidelines
• Undertake impact analysis on major design options and trade-off during client engagements.
• Review others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
• Contribute to development of systems design policies and standards and selection of architecture components.
• Have a strong, working knowledge of Design initiatives and how to integrate these into a transformation project
• Lead the development of technical architectures for specific client proposals, EY assets and selected business domains (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce etc)
• Provide advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.

People Leadership

• Coach and mentor team members on Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, AI solution patterns and emerging Salesforce technologies.
• Contribute to the development of EY's Salesforce Data and AI capability, assets, accelerators and delivery methodologies.
• Line management of Managers and consultants within the team, coaching, guiding and helping them grow to their full potential.
• Focus on own development and maintain up to date knowledge of data and AI as it relates to Salesforce.
• Continuous meaningful career development and performance review conversation with direct reports
• Lead, manage and maximise the performance of project teams when acting as the Lead Solution Architect / Technical Architect / Design Lead.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Significant experience leading Salesforce solution architecture and delivery engagements, including experience across Data Cloud, AI-enabled customer engagement, intelligent automation and broader Salesforce ecosystem technologies.
• Experience designing and delivering data-led transformation programmes, including customer data platforms, data migration and data governance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud and AI capabilities, including Agentforce, Einstein AI and customer intelligence solutions.
• Experience designing integration and data migration architectures across complex enterprise environments.
• Experience shaping AI-enabled business solutions and translating business requirements into practical technical architectures.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, governance considerations and trusted data foundations.
• Experience working with enterprise analytics platforms and customer data ecosystems.
• Prior experience (min 4-5 years) of being a Solution/Technical Architect
• Knowledge of integrating SF in the ecosystem via REST, SOAP and apply SF design patterns
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with clients to identify pain points and translate functional requirements to technical solutions
• Experience of Salesforce Security Architecture and Lightning Migrations
• Solid knowledge of the design thinking ethos of human centre design and ability to adopt it to solve client issues.
• Strong understanding of the application of agile methodology in both product development and organizational structure.
• Creative problem-solving ability, inquisitive mind-set, comfortable with working in ambiguous situations.
• Strong people management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to rapidly identify issues and propose solutions.
