Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Procurement Manager to join our us on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role focused on establishing and embedding procurement policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks across the business.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in procurement best practice and will work closely with stakeholders to develop a fit-for-purpose procurement function that delivers compliance, value for money, and improved supplier management.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review the current procurement landscape, processes, and supplier arrangements.Design, implement, and document procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Develop procurement tools, templates, and approval workflows.
• Establish clear procurement controls and delegation authorities.
• Create supplier onboarding, evaluation, and contract management processes.
• Support contract reviews and procurement activities where required.
• Ensure procurement practices align with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
• Train and coach stakeholders on new procurement processes and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Produce clear documentation and recommendations to support long-term procurement maturity.

Role information

• £60,000-£70,000 pro-rata
• Full time
• Fixed-term contract- 6 months
• Monday- Friday
• 35 hours per week
• Hybrid- 3 days in Slough office
