A day at MKS Atotech:

We are expanding our Digital Factory Suite (DFS) portfolio to include cutting-edge cloud-based predictive maintenance and other applications that address critical customer needs. Our goal is to empower our customers with insights into future trends, equipment wear, abnormal situations, and potential safety hazards, ultimately improving product quality and driving subscription growth.

As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our innovative DFS solutions. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into intuitive, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces for web and cloud-based applications. You will work closely with product managers, developers, stakeholders, customers our products not only meet functional requirements but also provide an exceptional user experience. This job will be based in our company MKS ATOTECH in Minsk under the management of Yury our Lead DFS Development.

You will contribute to our success by:

• User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, create user personas, user flows, and journey maps to understand user needs and behaviors.

• UI Design: Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web applications and cloud-based services, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and design systems.

• Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests, analyze feedback, and iterate on designs to improve user experience. The QA team performs usability testing to identify issues and provide feedback for improvement.

• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, with developers to ensure technical feasibility, and with QA engineers to ensure a high-quality product.

• Formulate Use Case: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and document clear, user-centered use cases for new features.

• Initial Story Creation: Translate use cases into initial user stories and acceptance criteria to support the development team in planning and implementing new functionality.

• Design System Contribution: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all products.

• Feedback Integration: Actively solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users into the design process.

• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.

What you will bring to our company:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience is a plus.

• 2+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and impact.

• Proven ability to design user-centered interfaces with a strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills. Design systems experience: Material Design, etc. Proficient in using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and information architecture.

• English and Russian/Belarusian working fluency.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a great attention to details.

Preferrable skills:

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ability to work within established processes, as well as contribute to their continuous improvement.

• Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Experience with industrial automation and/or printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes.
