What’s the opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced Watercart/Grader Operator to join our Underground Development team at Northparkes. Reporting to the Mining Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining safe and efficient underground access and operating conditions. Your responsibilities will include operating underground watercarts and graders to support road maintenance, dust suppression, drainage management and development activities across the operation.

Based at our Northparkes Operation, you’ll:

• Safely and efficiently operate underground watercart and grader equipment
• Maintain underground roadways to required standards
• Complete dust suppression and road watering activities
• Manage drainage and roadway conditions across active development areas
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment housekeeping
• Identify and report hazards, defects and operational issues

Does this sound like you?

• Previous experience operating graders and watercarts (Mining Experience Desirable)
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Strong understanding of road maintenance and drainage management
• Current and relevant operating competencies and licences
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
