
Under the general supervision of the Regional Clinical Nurse Coordinator, this position provides professional in-person nursing and health services to the UConn Stamford campus. Provides patient-focused advice and education. Conducts health promotion and educational outreach. Collaborates with other providers to enable the student to attain and maintain health. As a college health nurse, this position supports the maintenance and improvement of the health of students, identifying and assisting in removing or modifying health-related barriers and supporting early detection and early intervention strategies. Responsible for creating and delivering health education. Refers students to other resources as appropriate; maintains electronic medical records and ensures compliance with state laws and regulations, SHaW policies and procedures, and program protocols. May include nursing assessments, examinations and treatment. May include travel to other campus locations as needed. This position is in person.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a permanent, in-person, 9-month, 35-hour a week position, working from mid-August through mid-May annually with paid summer leave. This opening is for a primarily day position with a flex schedule, which may include an occasional weekend day. Candidate must be willing to extend into the evening hours on occasion to meet the needs of the service/population. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A requirement to be present on the Storrs campus for a period of orientation may be needed.
