Job Description

When disaster strikes, you go where the mission is.

We are looking for an experienced UAS pilot and search-and-rescue professional to join our Flight Operations team and become part of a new global emergency-response capability powered by XTEND technology.

This is not a traditional drone-pilot role. You will spend much of your time operating alongside customers and partners, conducting demonstrations, training operators, supporting field operations, and helping organizations understand how advanced UAS technology can transform their missions.

But when a major disaster strikes, your role changes.

Within 24 hours, you may be deploying anywhere in the world.

You will embed with organizations operating on the ground following earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, humanitarian emergencies, and other major disasters. Working alongside search-and-rescue teams, emergency managers, first responders, and other mission partners, you will help determine where XTEND technology can have the greatest impact and then turn those needs into real-world missions.

Requirements

  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • extended shifts during emergency deployments. Demonstrated professional UAS/drone piloting experience.
  • Meaningful experience in search and rescue, emergency response, disaster response, or a closely related operational environment.
  • Ability to deploy globally within 24 hours when activated.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–75% of the time.
  • Ability to operate effectively in challenging and unpredictable field environments.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary operational team.
  • Strong understanding of mission planning and the ability to translate an operational objective into a practical UAS mission.
  • Ability to work within established incident command, emergency-management, or organizational structures.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate concise and actionable information during high-pressure situations.
  • Sound operational judgment and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently while integrating effectively with customers and mission partners.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and
