Job Shift: AnyThe duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization:

• Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains electrical systems, including motors, control panels, conveyors, packaging equipment, and utility systems.
• Performs scheduled PMs on electrical components to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Uses meters, testing devices, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Assists with PLC troubleshooting, input/output verification, sensor calibration, and basic programming adjustments as needed.
• Installs new electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and control systems in accordance with NEC and plant standards.
• Follows NFPA 70E, LOTO, arc‑flash protocols, and all food‑safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensures electrical work supports GMPs, sanitary design, and equipment conditions required for safe food production.
• Maintains accurate logs of repairs, PMs, parts usage, and electrical changes in the CMMS.
• Partners with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly and support continuous operations.
• Assists with oversight of electrical contractors to ensure work meets plant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Recommends upgrades, process improvements, and reliability enhancements for electrical systems.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal electrical training, apprenticeship, or technical certification required; State or journeyman electrician license preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work required; experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety compliance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, and control circuits.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, NEC, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime or modified schedules as required by business needs.
• Commitment to practicing safe work habits and adhering to all company and regulatory safety protocols.
