As a Technician at our flagship tyre fitting facility in Burton on Trent, you will provide top-tier expertise and an unparalleled tyre fitting, wheel balancing and alignment service to all visitors on the centre.

Job Scope

To provide a first-class tyre technical and advisory service to all customers of the Pirelli Performance Centre (PPC), whilst supporting the Depot Supervisor in the day to day operations and development of the centre. The role requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service levels and ensuring Pirelli quality standards are achieved at all times

Roles and Responsibilities

Working as part of a small team to provide a comprehensive tyre fitting service to all visitors to the PPC. In addition, the role will also provide specific advice on Pirelli products and services, along with ensuring:

  • All H&S requirements are adhered to
  • Pirelli quality standards are maintained and recorded.
  • Loading and unloading of stock either for customer orders or deliveries for the department.
  • Flexibility to carry out any duties that may be required in order to support the PPC
  • Helping to ensure sales opportunities are maximized
  • Various administration duties in support of the PPC Supervisor
  • Assisting with a share of the centre’s housekeeping duties
  • Flexibility to work on marketing events away from the PPC

Required Qualifications and Aptitudes

Education

  • Basic Maths and English (essential)

Experience

  • Experience within the tyre fitting industry advantageous but not essential

Skills

  • Excellent customer facing and communication skills, be able to advise on Pirelli’s product offering
  • Good IT skills (essential) to include Excel
  • Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.
  • Work to a high standard of quality
  • Be able to work autonomously and complete work with minimum supervision.
  • Be prepared to work on all tasks within the department.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, with a flexible proactive approach (essential)
  • Be proactive, open minded and embrace new ways of working
  • Highly motivated to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction (essential)
  • Be prepared to work flexibly to ensure the efficient running of the PPC, including the possibility of working at events outside of core working hours (essential)
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence (essential)

We are looking for someone with a positive, professional, flexible and customer focused attitude and approach to join our team – if you have never fitted tyres before, don’t worry! A structured learning plan will be provided.

Salary for this role will be £27305 - £29305, depending upon qualification, skills and experience.

Core working hours will be 38.25 hours per week, Monday - Saturday (8.30 am - 5.30 pm weekdays and 8.30 am - 1.00 pm Saturday, with a day off during the week when rota'd to work a Saturday), but due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required.
