Position Department: Computer and Information Systems Position School: School of Data Intelligence and Technology
The Department of Computer and Information Systems (CIS) at Robert Morris University invites applications for two (2) full-time Two-Year Visiting Assistant Professors. The appointment will include a 24-credit teaching load during the academic year, with the primary responsibility of teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: information systems, cybersecurity, data science/analytics, computer science, or AI/machine learning. These positions will begin in August 2026 and run until May 2028 (the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years). Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have:
• the ability to teach effectively in a variety of delivery formats, including on-ground, online, and hybrid courses
• a strong commitment to teaching effectiveness
• relevant professional experience and/or certifications in the field or evidence of scholarly work
• effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact successfully with students and the university community. Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must have an earned doctorate or be ABD in information systems, computer science, or another closely-related field. In addition, ABD applicants will only be considered for hire at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor.
