Earthjustice's IT team is seeking a two-year Manager, Digital Transformation to help lead change management across enterprise technology initiatives, such as working through stakeholder engagement and training, applying structured frameworks to drive adoption and sustained use of new technologies, and more. This is a non-supervisory position that will report to the Director, Digital Transformation.
 
The ideal candidate brings experience leading change in legal or other regulated environments, with expertise in change-impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, communications planning, training delivery, and adoption measurement. They are strategic, people-focused, and able to manage multiple change efforts toward coherent, sustainable rollouts.
 
The two-year Manager, Digital Transformation is expected to work a full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedule. The successful candidate must work two days per week from one of our following offices: Denver, CO; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Washington, DC.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
 
Change Management (40%) 
  • Design and implement structured change management frameworks and strategies aligned to digital transformation initiatives, ensuring change activities map to project roadmaps, milestones, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead stakeholder impact assessments and organizational readiness evaluations, and align project sponsors and key stakeholders on messaging, sequencing, and expectations across initiatives.
  • Identify and track technology adoption risks, implement targeted mitigation tactics, and develop, track, and report on change impact metrics to drive successful outcomes. 
Workforce Enablement (30%) 
  • Lead the design and delivery of enablement programs tailored to diverse user groups, including pilots, training, workshops, webinars, and hands-on sessions that build confidence and competence across the workforce.
  • Develop and scale a train-the-trainer model, equipping internal change agents and department leads to support peer-level adoption across the organization.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of user-facing enablement resources including quick reference guides, FAQs, and on-demand learning modules, ensuring content is current and accessible. 
Stakeholder Engagement (30%) 
  • Develop and manage an enterprise communications strategy aligned to organizational goals and transformation timelines, ensuring stakeholders are informed on the purpose, impact, and rollout of key initiatives.
  • Define impacted audiences and craft audience-appropriate messaging that builds trust, addresses concerns, and sustains engagement across change-impacted teams.
  • Build relationships with project sponsors, department leads and key stakeholders to generate alignment and advocacy across the organization. 
Ongoing Learning 
  • Actively pursue professional development and contribute to a culture of learning by building skills and sharing knowledge.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Communications, or related field.
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) required.
  • 7+ years of change management experience supporting enterprise technology or digital transformation initiatives. Experience in legal, compliance, or other regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with experience designing and delivering training for diverse audiences; background in internal communications or public relations a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Monday, Trello, Asana.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience with building reports in analytics platforms, such as Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Experience working on agile teams and, project management certifications like PMP, SAFe strongly preferred.
  • Develop and deliver role-based training programs and enablement experiences for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create clear, persuasive communications and engaging enablement materials (e.g., guides, videos, on-demand training) tailored to diverse audiences. Ability to operate with initiative and sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and apply analytical, resourceful problem-solving to ambiguous challenges.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 
This role may require the ability to: 
  • Sit for extended periods with occasional standing and walking
  • Type, file, and/or handle office equipment
  • Lift and carry materials
  • Read documents, conduct computer work and document review
  • Conduct consultations, meetings, court proceedings, and have telephone communications (applies for active litigating roles)
  • Travel to courts, client locations and other legal proceedings as required (applies for active litigating roles)  
SALARY & BENEFITS

Salaries at Earthjustice are determined by working location and are commensurate with the experience required. The annual salary ranges for this role are: 
  • New York, NY and San Francisco, CA: $170,300 - $189,200.
  • Washington, D.C.: $161,800 - $179,800.
  • Denver, CO: $153,300 - $170,300.
