Job Description

The purpose of the Twisting & Heatset Maintenance Tech to repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow all Safety, Plant & Quality Guidelines
  • Operate and fill in unoccupied jobs when needed.
  • Repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment.
  • Assist in lot changes in Twisting and Heatset as they occur.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting 1 to 75 pounds is required for tools, parts, and equipment periodically during shift.
  • Standing as required periodically as needed throughout shift approximately 6 hours per shift.
  • Stooping as required periodically as needed throughout shift.
  • Bending as required periodically for machine repair and lot changes throughout shift.
  • Reaching is required for machine repair and lot changes periodically throughout shift.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
  • Repetitive hand motions 3 out of 8 hours using wrenches, snips, scissors, and hand tools.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Must be computer trainable (data entry).
  • Must have previous twisting and heat set maintenance experience on continuous autoclave and direct cable twisters.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
