If you’re a veterinary nurse looking to boost your salary without taking on full-time hours, this could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. We’re introducing a brand-new out-of-hours and emergency service at All Pets Veterinary Hospital, and we’re looking for a nurse to join our twilight team from day one.
This is a chance to be part of something new, while still benefiting from the stability, reputation, and clinical excellence of a long-established and highly regarded hospital.
This twilight position has been designed with flexibility in mind. You’ll work Sunday afternoons and bank holidays from 2:30pm to 7:30pm, supporting the transition into the dedicated night service.
It’s an ideal option if you’re balancing other commitments, working elsewhere, or simply looking for a way to earn additional income without disrupting your week. You get meaningful clinical exposure and variety, without the demands of overnight work.
Based in our Drogheda hospital, you’ll work with a busy and varied caseload, supporting patients that require urgent and emergency care. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your ECC skills in a setting where you are supported, not isolated.
You’ll have access to excellent facilities, including in-house lab diagnostics, imaging, surgical theatres and dedicated inpatient care areas, allowing you to deliver a high standard of patient care while continuing to grow your confidence and capability.
One of the biggest advantages of this role is the team around you. All Pets is known for its friendly, experienced and collaborative culture, where nurses are genuinely valued and supported. You’ll be working alongside people who enjoy sharing knowledge, helping each other, and taking pride in the care they provide. Whether you’re already confident in ECC or still building your experience, you’ll be part of a team that has your back.
This position would suit a qualified veterinary nurse who is confident in general nursing duties and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. An interest in emergency or critical care is important, but prior ECC experience isn’t essential if you’re keen to develop your skills.
If you’re looking for something flexible, rewarding, and a little different from the usual day rota, this role offers a great balance of challenge, support, and lifestyle.
As this is a part-time twilight position, benefits are applied on a pro-rata basis. You’ll still have access to a competitive hourly rate, CPD support and funding, paid professional memberships, wellbeing resources, and staff discounts, alongside opportunities to get involved in wider company initiatives.
This isn’t just another part-time shift. It’s an opportunity to earn extra income, develop your ECC experience, and be part of launching a new service within a hospital that already has a strong reputation for excellence.
If you’re looking for a role that works around your life while still moving your career forward, we’d love to hear from you.
