Job Description

Department: Student Affairs

Sub-department: Student Affairs

Type of Appointment: Part-time - Regular

Duties and Responsibilities: 60%- Provide technical (instruction and assistance in the use of computer programs) and academic (instruction and support with various subjects, including math, reading, English, foreign language, and computers, email and essay writing, formatting papers, uploading documents, and other basic skills) assistance to participants individually or in small groups to enhance student learning without compromising the quality of the participant learning experience

20%- Provide basic technical support to participants using the computers, communicate services to participants and staff; disseminate VUB program information; assist in carrying out the VUB and college's rules and guidelines

10%- Perform other duties related to the division as assigned by the director

5%- Maintain computers and update software as needed; maintain learning environment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition

5%- Proctor exams when needed

Required Education Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.

Required Experience Minimum of one year of general office experience or tutoring/teaching in a college setting.

Required Licenses or Certifications N/A

Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience Minimum of one year of general office experience or tutoring/teaching in a college setting.
