Tutor Sonographer
About the Role
We are looking for a Tutor Sonographer to join our team and help lead our Sonographer development program across Tasmania. Based in Hobart, this role will play a key part in Radiology Tasmania's vision to become the diagnostic medical imaging provider of choice across the state.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with return travel and accommodation provided for the duration of your stay. It's an ideal opportunity for a Sonographer looking to experience Tasmania while helping develop the next generation of sonographers.
We also have a permanent Tutor Sonographer opportunity available for candidates looking to transition into a longer-term senior education role.
Working alongside our experienced ultrasound leadership team, you'll help create an engaging learning environment that supports students while maintaining high clinical standards.
We're open to experienced Sonographers with 3+ years' post-qualification experience who are ready to take the next step in their career. Previous tutoring experience isn't essential, we're looking for someone with strong clinical skills, a passion for teaching, and a genuine commitment to developing others.
This role is primarily focused on clinical supervision and mentoring students throughout their training, with limited scanning responsibilities. For candidates who wish to maintain a higher level of clinical scanning, the role can be structured as a hybrid of supervision and clinical practice.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team.
