Job Description

PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager or Site Commercial and Supply Manager, this position is responsible for the efficient management of the stores materials catalogue system, analyzing and forecasting inventory historical usage and forward demand, inventory control replenishment and re-ordering functions at a Regional, Site and/or Commodity level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
▪ Executes against established inventory optimization strategies for Site(s) that are aligned with functional tactical plans.
▪ Adhere to SCM methodologies, policies, procedures and standards by consistently maintaining a high quality of work within the Inventory Planning section.
▪ Perform stock transfers to separate warehouses to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained at warehouse levels and liaise with Site Supply to action warehouse transfers to fulfill intra-district replenishment demands.
▪ Ensure that SCM policies and procedures in relation to Inventory Planning strategies are executed against to accomplish business objectives.
▪ Process and execute daily activities on inventory and catalog to optimal effect ensuring warehouse inventory service levels are being reviewed and achieved
▪ Perform inventory planning functions by reviewing; analyzing, optimizing, modifying and processing system generated recommended orders.
▪ Ensure all Catalogue Material Master Requests for new additions or increases to inventory levels are thoroughly analyzed and reviewed for completeness before establishing re-order settings.
▪ Analyze and monitor Inventory management Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and ensure optimal and economical stocking levels are maintained at all times designed to deliver against targets.
▪ Liaise closely with the Sourcing and Procurement Department to ensure accurate supplier lead times are being used during inventory analysis.
▪ Perform inventory reviews of inactive inventory to ensure obsolete and surplus materials are identified and disposed of in accordance with established policies and procedures.
▪ Participate as a member in project work and continuous improvement opportunities by providing analytical inventory planning advice.
▪ Participate and contribute to safe practice and environmental awareness with in the Inventory Planning group in order to achieve an increased level of safety awareness.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
▪ Job is located at Elko or at site
▪ May be required to access mining and processing areas, rough terrain.
▪ Frequent work at a computer/monitor or keyboard.
▪ Hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
▪ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate sourcing on key spend categories.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience preferred, high school diploma or GED required.
▪ One (1) to three (3) years of directly related inventory analytics and warehousing experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.
▪ Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, MS Project)
▪ Analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)
▪ Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Ellipse or equivalent enterprise level software packages is necessary.
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
