We are currently hiring for Turning Impression for our Die Room at our Cudahy, Wisconsin located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. As a Turning Impression t, you are an integral part of a successful team and are responsible for operating the turning centers that produce specialized products and components for the aerospace industry.

A successful Turning Impression is a problem-solver, safety focused, and understands the importance of precision and quality. In order to become successful, you’ll have to learn ATI, our products, customers, and procedures; and work collaboratively with other CNC Machinists and cross-functional teams to ensure product is manufactured to quality and customer specifications.

This is a fourth shift position from 11:00pm – 7:00am, Sunday-Thursday. Training will be conducted on first shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish offsets and adjust machine offsets to ensure part conformance.
  • Performs complete machining of first piece and verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing.
  • Use instrumentation and gauges, along with shop tools to verity operational drawing requirements and part conformance.
  • Read and understand basic technical drawings / blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications
  • Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain appropriate machining and operations records
  • Uses precision or standard measuring devices such as scales inside and outside micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier scales, fixed frame gauges or special gauges, and profilometers to check machined dimensions and surface finishes conforming to customer prints and/or specifications.
  • Exercises care in handling of material before and after the machining operation

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience of at least 3 years machining
  • 1 year of programming experience
  • Must be able to pass aptitude test (Reading, Arithmetic, Mechanical, Spatial) if currently not a Card Journeyman holder

Skills

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
