Tunnelling Pit Boss Responsibilities:
Manage Gangers and Lead Miners
Ensure that day to day lifting operations are controlled as defined by the Appointed Person (lifting).
Be responsible for the control of workplace transport in their areas of work
Ensure that personal protective equipment is provided and used as required by the site rules and procedures.
Maintain written records and site diary’s
Organise and manage the supply of materials in good time.
To provide expert advice, support and guidance relating to all works during day to day activities.
Tunnelling Pit Boss Experience:
Have previous experience within a supervisor role managing Health and Safety on site.
CSCS Site supervisors Qualification
SMSTS or SSSTS Qualification
Tunnelling experience
