About this Opportunity:

To effectively clean, deburr and polish manufactured components per M.O.I.’s and W.I. ensuring conformance to specifications. Duties are generally prioritized, allowing employee to perform independently, with intermittent close supervision, in conformance with written instructions, established schedules and pre-determined priorities. Problems not clearly defined by written directives and/or instructions are reviewed with supervisor to determine course of action

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively process product according to M.O.I.’s and W.I.
  • Accurately measures and mixes tumbling compounds per M.O.I.’s and W.I. ensuring correct media, solutions, times, flow meters, temperatures, etc. are used.
  • Operate and manage cleaning line (Branson)
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Uses gages and visual aids to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Properly and safely operates all equipment/tools in finishing area, (i.e., OTEC’s, Burr benches, vibratory bowls, cob dryers, spin dryers, cleaning machines, etc.)
  • Ensures product is processed following FIFO, unless otherwise directed.
  • Ensure product ID and traceability is maintained by accurately filing out required paperwork (Followers, Inspection Tickets, etc.)
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.
  • Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies.
  • Use correct P.P.E per JHAs. Inspect and maintain P.P.E. appropriately; required to wear safety shoes with the standard F2412 and F2413 rating.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School or Technical School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; ability to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays on an as needed basis.
