This position is for night shift. Monday through Thursday from 7pm-5am. However, they may work 7p-7a depending on business needs.
The Tufting Machine Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining tufting machines to produce high-quality tufted turf. This role ensures efficient machine performance, oversees production quality, and performs maintenance to prevent further downtime or quality issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently operate a 240-end single level creel tufting machine to meet production requirements.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards for quality and design specifications.
Monitor machine performance and promptly address any operational issues.
Maintain and clean tufting machinery to ensure smooth production processes.
Manage the fiber and backing supply at the machine, ensuring continuous production without material shortages.
Record production data and ensure accurate reporting for inventory.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
Familiarity with machine operations and basic mechanical skills.
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality output and maintain production standards.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve minor mechanical issues related to tufting machinery.
Basic math and measurement skills for analyzing and assessing job material needs and production output.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Previous experience in carpet or textile product is highly desirable.
