The Position:

Responsible for driving tractor-trailer tanker truck to fuel pick up locations, loading fuel, delivering fuel to approved locations and coordinating fuel dumps to approved tanks in a safe professional manner.

Drive and operate tractor-trailer tanker truck to and from fuel terminal within the guidelines of company policy and procedure and in compliance with existing and future federal motor carrier safety regulations (FMCSR Chapter 49).

  • Pick up fuel at specified locations in accordance with suppliers policies and procedures.
  • Off load fuel into approved company fuel tanks.
  • Maintain and report driver logs on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and report equipment logs as required by FMCSR.
  • Participate in Department of Transportation approved random drug testing program.
  • Purchase fuel at fuel rack using company authorized credit card.
  • Perform pre-trip equipment safety inspection.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
  • Five years commercial tanker driver experience preferred.
  • Commercial Drivers License with clean driving history for past 36 months in order to be insurable and remain insurable. Must have doubles/triples and tanker endorsement.
  • Hazmat Certification required.
  • Federal DOT Medical Card required.
  • Medical Examiners Certificate required
  • Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Written communication skills essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
