The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “ TSF Chief Engineer | Αρχιμηχανικός Απόθεσης Τελμάτων”, for its premises in Chalkidiki The position will be reported to the Metallurgy Manager of the Processing department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with local and international TSF regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Oversee continuous monitoring of geotechnical conditions, structural integrity, water balance, and instrumentation to maintain TSF stability.
• Manage daily tailings deposition and associated infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Identify geotechnical and environmental risks and implement effective mitigation and control measures.
• Develop, maintain, and test TSF emergency preparedness and response plans in collaboration with HSE and external stakeholders.
• Manage TSF-related and water management construction projects, ensuring contractor compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Prepare, review, and maintain all required technical reports, audits, and records for internal and regulatory use.
• Support planning and execution of TSF closure and rehabilitation programs in line with environmental and community objectives.
• Approve tailings placement plans and adapt deposition strategies based on monitoring data and operational needs.
• Authorize suspension of tailings placement during unsafe or extreme conditions and determine seasonal water management actions
• Approve construction sequencing, dam raise schedules, and corrective actions based on monitoring thresholds.
• Oversee technical responses to regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance requirements.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in Tailings Storage Facility management, covering the full lifecycle from design to closure.
• Professional Engineer, registered with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE)
• Proven track record in TSF operations, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in construction, expansion, and upgrades of TSF infrastructure.
• Strong familiarity with environmental and mining regulations, audits, and permitting processes.
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and emergency preparedness for TSF operations.
• Successful collaboration with operations, HSE, environmental, regulatory, and community relations teams.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar design and modelling tools).
• Advanced computer literacy, including use of data analysis and office and reporting tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Driving License (B Category)
