Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Conwy to assist with the appointment of a Trunk Road Coordinator, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £18.22 - £23.89 per hour

The Trunk Road Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising cyclical maintenance works on the A55, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with required standards. This is primarily a night-based role, involving close coordination of operational teams, monitoring site activities, and ensuring compliance with highways and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate cyclical maintenance works on the A55.
  • Oversee night-time operations, ensuring all works are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Liaise with contractors, operatives, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works.
  • Ensure all traffic management and site safety measures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety standards and report any incidents or hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed, site activities, and any issues arising.

Essentials

  • Previous experience in highways maintenance, coordination, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of trunk road or highway maintenance operations.
  • Ability to work night shifts (typically 18:00 to 06:00, 3–4 nights per week).

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within highways environments.

  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
