What You’ll Do

As a Truck Shop Assistant, you’ll help keep our maintenance facility running efficiently by supporting our technicians, parts department, and daily shop operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report any hazards
• Assist the parts department with receiving, stocking, organizing, and inventory management
• Test, inspect, and track product delivery hoses
• Perform daily yard inspections and report any issues
• Pick up parts and shuttle vehicles as needed
• Learn and utilize the company’s electronic maintenance (ELOG) system
• Maintain the cleanliness of shop grounds and facility
• Operate a forklift safely (training available if needed)
• Assist with snow removal during winter months
• Support spill response efforts at company or customer locations when required
• Work closely with technicians and management to promote a positive team environment
• Perform other shop and facility duties as assigned

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined with basic maintenance knowledge
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable and dependable attendance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or shop experience
• Forklift experience
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Experience working around commercial trucks or heavy equipment is a plus
