Job Description

Job Location: Pocket Nurse - Greater Pittsburgh Region, PAAs a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies and equipment for healthcare simulation and education, Pocket Nurse provides solutions and services that create hands-on learning experiences for the next generation of healthcare professionals. The Truck Loader is responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, replenishing shipping supplies, and gathering/storing picking bins, while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety in the Distribution Center. This role also supports the assembly of sub-pack items.
This position requires adherence to defined work processes to achieve repeatable, high-quality results. The work is steady, requiring attention to detail and consistency.
Key Responsibilities and Other Duties as Assigned
Shipping & Material Handling:
- Prepare trailers for loading; scan packages from the conveyor, generate shipping labels using Cubiscan, and affix labels prior to shipment.
- Load and stack packages onto trucks by hand, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage during transit.
- Move, organize, and stage product within designated warehouse zones to support daily operational flow.
- Refill and organize picking bins within assigned areas.
- Replenish packing materials and report supply needs as required.
Operational Support:
- Assist with unloading inbound deliveries by hand as needed.
- Support product movement and organization in receiving and staging areas.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe dock and warehouse workspaces.
- Provide cross-functional support within the Distribution Center based on seasonal and operational demands.
Education:
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate preferred.
Skills and experience:
- Ability to load/unload trucks effectively to minimize product damage and maximize space utilization.
- Capability to absorb and apply training information accurately.
- Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to create shipping labels and operate systems at packing stations.
- Strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not required.
