Our truckline technician position focuses on modifying, upgrading and fabricating heavy-duty trucks to meet specific client needs, aesthetic preferences or specialized operational requirements. This role involves a blend of mechanical repair, structural fabrication and modifications to ensure vehicles are both functional and operationally distinct.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Welding: Cut, shape and weld steel and aluminum components to customize truck frames, bodies and chassis.
  • Upfitting & Installation: Install specialized equipment, including liftgates, dump kits, service bodies and accessory packages.
  • Blueprints & Specs: Read & interpret, technical drawings, electrical schematics and work orders to ensure precise, high-quality fabrication.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Adhere to safety protocols, inspect finished work for structural integrity and troubleshoot fitment issues.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Welding Proficiency: Experience is a bonus. No certification is required.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work-ready truck specifications.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with shop tools, including torches, plasma cutters, grinders and presses.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces.
  • Experience: Previous experience in truck upfitting, automotive fabrication, heavy equipment mechanics or automotive customization is desired, but not required.
