Job Description

Unisync is a leading provider of award winning North American Corporate Apparel, and Public Safety, Law Enforcement Uniform, Equipment supplies and protective garments across Canada and the United States. Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada.

The Truck Driver is responsible for driving the company vehicle to make product delivery and pickups at various locations locally and in the surrounding areas including Toronto. Assists in loading and unloading products from truck. Conducts inspection of truck each day to ensure vehicle safety standards are met. Looks after minor maintenance keeping accurate vehicle performance records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive 26ft Straight Truck to deliver and pick up consignments for location locally in Guelph and surrounding area including Toronto.
• Maintain truck logs on the computer – fuel, consumption, maintenance and report any maintenance issues
• Ensure the shipment is delivered on time and has arrived in good condition.
• Follow the rules of the road
• Loads and unloads trucks transporting supplies, materials, equipment and other products.
• Serve customers by delivering products to them.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks to maintain safety standards.
• Warehouse duties as needed including material handling, order picking, putaway, and general warehouse support.
• Operate material handling equipment including reach truck and order picker as required.
• Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education:
• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Clean drivers abstract and criminal record
• 1-2 years’ experience driving large vehicles
• Valid ‘G’ driving license.
• Experience operating or willingness to be trained on material handling equipment including reach truck and order picker.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Guelph/Toronto and surrounding geographical areas is an asset.
