About the role

We are looking for a hands-on and dependable Warehouse Storeperson to support our busy Mareeba Steel Centre This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit branch within a well-established Australian business.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll ensure orders are picked, loaded, and ready for dispatch. You’ll be instrumental in keeping things running safely and efficiently.

This role involves rotating between working in the warehouse and driving a truck. An open HR licence is preferred, however, if you have a good attitude and willingness to learn we will support you in getting licenced.

Key responsibilities

  • Work within a small team
  • Ensure safe and accurate picking and loading of orders
  • Stock management
  • Operate a forklift and crane
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work closely with other team members to meet daily targets
  • Embody a strong safety culture

What we’re looking for

  • Preferably experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment, but if you do not have this experience, you are still encouraged to apply. Attitude is everything
  • Most importantly a positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with machines is highly regarded, but we are willing to train
