Could you be the full-time Trouble Shooter Technician in Sofia, Bulgaria we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical troubleshooting expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside skilled and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the availability and performance of Alstom products at our customer sites. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project teams, warranty support teams, subcontractors), provide technical expertise, and ensure compliance with safety and security standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting during the PI period as well as pre-warranty and commissioning activities, but also contribute to fleet checks and technical investigations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Carrying out troubleshooting and repairs during PI, pre-warranty, and commissioning activities
  • Performing fleet checks and registering deviations in the Failure Management database
  • Supporting the operation helpdesk and field modification implementation
  • Executing test procedures and failure analysis
  • Providing technical expertise to operators and subcontractors
  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom and customer EHS and security rules
  • Leading troubleshooting teams and conducting peer reviews when needed
  • Contributing to return-of-experience initiatives

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree or certification in a technical field (mechanical or electrical/electronic)
  • Over 10 years of technical troubleshooting, investigation, and testing experience
  • Field experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of EHS standards and processes
  • Familiarity with Alstom products or similar systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • English language proficiency (mandatory)
  • Experience with railway safety and engineering knowledge (desirable)
  • Customer-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Progress towards leadership or advanced technical roles
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
