As Tribe Lead Global Infrastructure Data Centres, you will lead the transformation of ING’s global hosting in our data centres and edge footprint, creating a more resilient, secure and standardised infrastructure platform that supports innovation across the bank. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide strategy, drive large-scale change and leave a lasting impact on ING’s global technology landscape.
You will form part of the Global Infrastructure management team. Global Infrastructure is the technology backbone of ING, providing the platforms, networks, cloud services, and core technology foundations that power digital banking across the world. Automation & Orchestration sits at the heart of this landscape, defining how infrastructure is designed, automated, secured, and operated at scale.
You will lead a global tribe of around 173 engineers and technology leaders. The tribe is responsible for ING’s hosting environments in our data centres and edge facilities worldwide, providing the secure, resilient and scalable environments that underpin critical banking services. Working closely with senior stakeholders across technology, architecture, risk and operations, you will lead major convergence, automation and resilience initiatives while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, learning and engineering excellence.
In this role, you will shape ING’s global data centre strategy and ensure the bank has a resilient and future-ready infrastructure foundation.
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself. To succeed in this role, you bring:
Functional emphasis: Physical/hosting infrastructure strategy, edge footprint, capacity alignment, standardisation and resilient hosting foundations.
Note: Tribe Lead level technical fluency — intended for direction-setting, architectural challenge, risk governance, investment steering and senior engineering leadership; not a hands-on engineer requirement
