Job Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our growing team. The Personal Injury Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, from case intake through settlement or trial. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining excellent client communication.LA Century Law is a firm focused on culture and growth, both individually and as a team. There is plenty of room to grow and our firm is focused on investing in the growth of all candidates. Position Responsibilities

  • Assists attorneys with the preparation of responses to discovery.
  • Send out discovery requests.
  • Monitors compliance with discovery by all parties and prepares motions as appropriate.
  • Assists attorneys with investigation of cases.
  • Prepare and serve litigation documents such as notice of deposition, expert exchanges, etc.
  • File litigation documents with state courts.
  • Address routine client inquiries and escalate issues to attorneys as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and court rules.
  • Obtains medical, insurance, employment and/or other records/information, through record requests or subpoenas. Assists with the drafting of motions, briefs and other documents.

Position Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or a minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting discovery documents and discovery responses, summarizing claims files and medical records and interviewing clients.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and terminology.
  • Experience with Casepeer or FileVine a plus.
  • Must be familiar with deadlines and process for civil matters in State Court.
  • Must be familiar with operation of general office equipment including calculator, fax machine, copy machine, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior PC experience required including knowledge of word processing software (Word and Excel preferred) and Adobe.
