Work week requirements: Full-time, 40 hr./week, Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm, year-round, in-person

Job Duties:
This position is in the Marriage License & Jury Management Department of the Clerk of the District Court Office. This position will act as the Jury Coordinator and lead worker of that department. This position requires leadership abilities. Duties include issuing summons to potential jurors for upcoming jury trials; maintaining and staying up-to-date on juror panels for the courts; paying jurors; accepting and issuing marriage licenses; working with the public in routine and difficult situations; establishing/maintaining effective communication with District Court employees, judges, public and other agencies; and other assignments as designated by the Clerk of the District Court.

Required Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school and one year of court or legal experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Computer experience, organizational skills and time management skills are essential. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to understand court procedures, policies and Kansas laws and make decisions accordingly. Ability to work collaboratively with court staff and other stakeholders. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Exemplary customer service skills is a plus.
