Internal candidates will be considered first.

Job Duties: This clerical position works with the public and other outside agencies regarding court payments. Duties include waiting on the public, processing traffic payments, opening mail, making copies of payment records for agencies and the public, and answering phones. Reviews and issues document(s) pursuant to judicial orders and prepares docket records reflecting pertinent court proceedings for accurate records. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level court clerk or a Clerk of the District Court and is reviewed through conferences and reports. May perform other related work as required or assigned and must be able to work well with the public and staff.

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or a GED certificate. Previous office experience preferred.

Additional desired abilities: Knowledge of modern office management practices and procedures. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to understand court procedures and policies. Skills in operating office equipment. Must be able to work with some degree of independence and responsibility. Must have good customer service skills. Maintain confidentiality.
