Location of Employment: 25th Judicial District, Lakin, Kearny County, Kansas

Position Title and Salary: Trial Court Clerk II, Grade 18, $18.75 Hourly

$19.23 after 6 months of successful performance

$20.68 after 1-year of successful performance

Job Duties:

  • Receiving, docketing, and processing cases for the District Court.
  • Filing and recording case pleadings.
  • Setting hearings and maintaining calendar, assisting in preparation of docket, completing judicial reports.
  • Receipting and disbursing monies.
  • Providing information and assistance to the judiciary, members of the bar, law enforcement agencies, DCF, and the public by phone and in person.
  • Will perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Clerk of the District Court.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • One year of clerical experience.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and computer programs.

Preferred experience:

  • Legal and/or court experience.
