The Treatment Plant Operator II -Surface Water earns a competitive salary o f $24.07 - $26.05/hourly based on qualifications. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. Grade C License - $2500

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR II - SURFACE WATER
This position serves as a team leader for SWTP Operator I staff by providing instruction and assistance in the responsibilities associated with the monitoring of pump stations, chemical feed systems, and all other primary process areas.
The SWTP Operator II assures routine calibration of continuous monitoring instruments used for compliance reporting; adjusts chemical metering pumps; compiles data for monthly reports; determines process chemical dose and flow adjustments; determines proper corrective procedures regarding water quality, implements these procedures and performs follow ups. Coordinates budget needs with PCS.
