What you will do…

·Serve as Operator of Record to operate Class 1 wastewater treatment Plant

·Coordinate activities of facilities in the operation & maintenance of wastewater treatment plants (e.g., schedules chemical laboratory tests, oversees plant record keeping & ensures compliance with Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wastewater regulations)

·Manage process controls by conducting routine sampling & monitoring daily or as required by Ohio EPA

·Manage sewage plant equipment (e.g., lubricates all moving parts, changes packing, removes & replaces worn parts)

·Oversees safety inspection program of treatment facilities

·Must have Class 1 Wastewater Operator License

·Starting hourly pay of $24.86/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 4.5 years of service, with an end salary of $30.55/hr

Qualifications

Certificate of class at least equal to that required by water system &/or wastewater works classification pursuant to Rule 3745-7-02, Environmental Protection Agency; 6 mos. exp. as treatment plant operator in water &/or wastewater treatment plant which included conducting routine laboratory tests on treatment plant flows. Note: The official position description on file with the designated agency is to reflect, in the minimum acceptable characteristics, the required experience/license (e.g., per OAC 3745, ORC 4506.1, ORC 4506.03, ORC 4506.12, ORC 4507.02).
