Job Description

As a treater, the individual has to monitor chemical levels, make the mixes and input the data into the system according to the material being treated. Treat wood as per specification requirements. Uses forklift to move material through the treating process.

Responsibilities:

▪ Ensures proper levels of chemical for treatment
▪ Makes the chemical mixes according to the material being treated
▪ Inputs the data into the system and starts the treatment cycle
▪ Responsible for receiving and unloading chemicals when onsite
▪ Loads and unloads from treating cylinder/dock.
▪ Elevates lumber for drying
▪ Moves lumber through the treating process
▪ Safe and responsible operation of company equipment
▪ Performs the work safely according to applicable codes, standards and to Stella-Jones health and safety program
▪ Works in compliance with all TRD regulations
▪ Participates in maintenance activities as required
▪ Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• TDG - Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate
• Forklift License is an asset
