About the Role

This role will be responsible for:

• Oversee Treasury Operations
• Lead treasury transformation & initiatives across local and group stakeholders, including automation, system upgrades, driving adoption of digital tools for real-time visibility and analytics.
• Manage operational risk and drive for proper governance, enforcement of control and process efficiency in Treasury Operation.
• Support the routine and ad hoc Treasury related reporting activities as driven by insurance business.
• Act as an all-rounded leader in accountability of team performance in support of Treasury functions and deliver coaching to the reporting manager & insight to management.

The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will lead and participate in the following business support duties under Finance Operations:

Treasury Operations:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Treasury function, including cash management, short-term funding needs, bank account management, treasury systems, and bank relationship management.
  • Ensure robust internal controls, compliance with company policies, and adherence to group standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Act as quality assurance performer in the ongoing monitoring, reviewing of the liquidity position & proper accountability for the fluctuation and impact from cash flow projection methodology change.

Cash Management:

  • Support and execute cash flow forecasting and cash optimization.
  • Support the routine liquidity/sensitivity assessment exercise e.g. Daily Liquidity Adequacy Ratio calculation & analysis.
  • Oversee the regular internal reporting and provide insight for management for daily liquidity position analysis

Treasury Transformation & Initiative:

  • Serve as the primary driver for the Treasury Transformation, identifying opportunities for process automation, digitization, and enhanced analytics, including gap analysis, process integration, and outsourcing tasks initiatives & coordination.
  • Proactively participate and act as key SME to transform the traditional Treasury Operations into a modernized process through digitized support, automation and data-driven strategy.
  • Organize team resources and negotiate under stretched timeline with key stakeholders in compliance with governance and company standards.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.
  • Member of CFA, HKICPA or equivalent professional accountancy bodies.
  • Minimum 6 years’ work experience in corporate treasury of which at least 2 years at supervisory level.
  • Work experience in insurance companies is an advantage.
  • Deep expertise in cash management and banking structures.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, debt instruments, and investment strategies.
  • Proven track record of transformation and implementation of Treasury.
  • Independent, self-motivated with sound reporting writing skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong risk awareness.
  • You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities.
