Job Description
On behalf of a well-established organisation, Manpower is currently seeking to recruit a detail-oriented and dependable individual for the position of Treasury Officer
The selected candidate will report to the Treasury Controller and will support treasury and financial operations across multiple entities within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise records of all financial inflows and outflows across different entities
- Review and allocate incoming payments to ensure accurate accounting entries
- Prepare a daily overview of bank transactions per entity, including intercompany balances
- Record cheque payments and debit transactions (both domestic and international) in the accounting system
- Register all bank credits, cash receipts, and deposits on a daily basis
- Ensure that all cash and cheque collections are deposited in full according to scheduled timelines
- Perform daily cash reconciliations to verify accuracy of physical balances
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliations to confirm the correctness of financial records
- Organise and file financial documentation to maintain a clear audit trail
- Process approved cash disbursements and ensure all supporting documentation is properly completed
- Prepare and submit bank-related documentation, including guarantees and renewals
- Handle documentation related to financing arrangements such as factoring facilities
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in a treasury or finance-related role
- High level of accuracy and a strong sense of responsibility
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Fluency in both Maltese and English, written and spoken
- ECDL certification with strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- An Ordinary Level qualification in Accounts will be considered an asset
