POSITION PURPOSE:
As the lead client facing member of the Business Banking Team, delivers Legendary Service to both external and internal customers. Works closely with Chief Growth Officer to ensure new and existing Corporate and business clients are regularly contacted, serviced, and presented with product changes and enhancements. Supports growth of other employees in the department. Shows a mastery of skills and directs others without management prompting. Works across departments to assist client needs. Assists in maintaining and distributing billing for bank services for commercial customers and helps monitor commercial activity for profitability.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:
Plans and executes the onboarding of our commercial products and services as well as ongoing reviews of client needs and expectations. Leads client strategy and communications. Promotes collaboration with other Bank Officers to proactively engage clients. Works closely with bank officers during the sale of commercial products and serves as the business line lead expert. Participates in sales promotions directly or indirectly. Works closely with customers to trouble shoot technical issues related to products the customer utilizes and regularly checks in with key clients.
Explores customer needs and responsible for cross-sales services in the best interest of the customer. Ability to present banking solutions and bank products on joint calls with other bank officers or independently of customer calls. Participates in Sales Kick Off event and sales training. Responsible for joint presentations of our commercial products and services. Makes appropriate referrals to other business units for traditional and non-traditional banking products and services.
Provides legendary service to customers, and other departments. Takes initiative and follows through on customer contacts regarding changes, additions, and other problems and issues with commercial business products and explains procedures and regulations.
Acts as a leader and a resource in the department. Manages referrals and /or the designation of account referrals to specific staff members, based on level of expertise within position.
Works closely with officers to approve new business or changes in application security for any of our cash management products according to our credit policy and procedures.
Reviews of all commercial product related procedures, such as ACH and Remote Deposit Capture, for policy compliance and audits. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including the Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
Assists in maintaining and distributing billing for bank services for commercial customers and helps monitor commercial activity for profitability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with mentoring and leadership of employees in the department. Provides support to department management.
Qualifications
A college degree or equivalent work experience is required. Prior experience in banking or accounting-related fields preferred. Willing to pursue advanced skill certifications (CTP, AAP, CPCP). Has proficiency in business banking products with ability to apply knowledge and judgment to make sound decisions. Excellent communication skills are required. Must be detailed and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, assist multiple officers, and solve problems which arise. Excellent customer service skills are required. Must stay current on all available products and on products in development to best assist in meeting the needs of the business customers in banking services.
