Job Description

Who we are looking for:

As part of the Global Treasury team, Treasury Manager Liquidity Management, Vice President primarily leads the development and ongoing enhancement of State Street Bank International’s liquidity management framework and related regulatory obligations. This will involve engaging with senior executives, presenting to senior management committees, and coordinating multiple local and global stakeholders across business teams.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model from Munich, Germany. We do not offer remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

As Treasury Manager Liquidity Management, Vice President you will:

  • Be responsible to manage the continued enhancement of the SSBI liquidity risk governance framework, including policies, guidelines and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practice, internal and regulators’ requirements.

  • Manage liquidity stress testing activities, including methodology design, modelling, scenario analysis and review of key liquidity risks across SSBI.

  • Lead the development, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of SSBI's Internal Funding Plan and Contingency Funding Plan, including funding and liquidity forecasting, scenario analysis, balance sheet projections, governance, regulatory submissions and senior management reporting.

  • Drive the development of data, analytics and automation capabilities supporting liquidity risk management, stress testing, forecasting and management reporting.

  • Use strong knowledge of liquidity regulation and supervisory expectations to advise on, develop and evolve internal policies, procedures and processes.

  • Apply sound judgement and analysis to make strategic and operational recommendations that support regulatory compliance and effective management decision-making.

  • Ensure appropriate evaluation, monitoring and communication of key liquidity risks to senior management.

  • Foster an environment that promotes compliance, continuous improvement and appropriate controls.

  • Proven ability to lead complex activity across multiple stakeholders in a matrixed international environment.

  • Ability to translate regulatory, risk management and business requirements into practical and controlled solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at senior management and Board-level forums, with clear written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

  • High level of integrity, judgement and professional credibility.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in bank liquidity and funding risk management, including liquidity stress testing, funding planning, forecasting and regulatory liquidity frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of European banking regulation and liquidity governance within a regulated banking entity.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or a related discipline.

  • Typically 6+ years of experience in banking, treasury, liquidity risk management or a related control function.

  • Experience developing management information, senior committee materials, forecasting outputs and stress testing analysis.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality controls and model ownership.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx or similar analytics and automation tools.
